Who we are
Read Receipt Bookmarks is run by Imali Hettiarachchi, based in the UK. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at hello@readreceiptbookmarks.com
What information we collect
When you place an order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you give one) and order details.
When you create an account or subscribe: your login details and subscription preferences.
When you contact us: your name, email address and your message.
When you sign up to our emails: your email address and name.
When you browse our site: technical information such as your IP address, device, browser and the pages you visit, collected using cookies and similar tools.
We don’t store your full card details. Payments are handled by our payment provider.
How we use it, and why
To take, deliver and support your order or subscription (needed to fulfil our contract with you).
To reply to your questions (our legitimate interest in running the business).
To send you marketing emails, only if you’ve agreed, and you can unsubscribe at any time (your consent).
To keep our site secure and understand how it’s used (our legitimate interest).
To keep records for tax and accounting (a legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We only share what’s needed with companies that help us run the shop:
Squarespace, which hosts our website and processes orders
Payment provider, Squarespace Payments
Delivery carrier, Royal Mail
Email marketing provider, Google Workspace
We don’t sell your personal information. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, and where they do we rely on appropriate safeguards.
Cookies
We use cookies to make the site work, remember your basket and understand how the site is used. You can change your cookie choices through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep order and accounting records for 6 years, as required for tax purposes. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. Other information is kept only as long as we need it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict or object to how we use it, move it to another provider, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. To do any of these, email hello@readreceiptbookmarks.com.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
